Join us for an exciting evening with the cast of the hit CBS daytime drama Beyond the Gates and Sheila Ducksworth, Executive Producer and President, CBS Studios/NAACP Venture, as we celebrate the show’s groundbreaking success, its recent two-season renewal, and its impact on performers working in Atlanta and beyond.
This unforgettable special conversation brings together legendary cast members - Tamara Tunie and Clifton Davis – for an inspiring reflection on their extraordinary careers, the defining lessons that shaped their paths, and the resilience, reinvention and passion that have allowed them to thrive across decades in an ever-changing entertainment industry. We’ll also explore how Beyond the Gates is creating meaningful, ongoing opportunities for local SAG-AFTRA talent, while spotlighting several Atlanta-based actors working on the show including Lauren Buglioli, Sean Freeman, Jibre Hordges, Trisha Mann-Grant and Karan Kendrick.
During an era of uncertainty in the industry, this series stands as a powerful example of optimism, growth and continued opportunity for local performers. We’ll also spotlight the highly anticipated crossover event with The Young and the Restless airing in June, and discuss the excitement surrounding this major moment uniting two iconic programs in daytime television.
This will be an engaging and inspiring conversation about longevity, opportunity, representation and the future of television production in Atlanta.

Let's gather and kick off the summer together! Join us for the Summer of SAG-AFTRA Atlanta Picnic at the fabulous Westside Park! This is your opportunity to hang out with your local leadership and fellow union members.
We'll provide complimentary, water and chips, but please pack a lunch and bring your beverage of choice! If you have any fun games, bring them along too. We'll have summer tunes, games and more.
The event is free to union members and their family or guests. Parking is free!

Space is limited and there will be waitlist. If you can't make it to this meeting we will be offering more orientations in the near future.
SAG-AFTRA Official Member Informational Meeting
On May 11, 2026, the SAG-AFTRA National Board met and reviewed the 2026 Producer–SAG-AFTRA Codified Basic Agreement and the 2026 SAG-AFTRA Television Agreement (“TV/Theatrical Agreements.”). They decisively voted to approve and recommend a “Yes” vote.
All members who are eligible to vote were sent a postcard with voting information for the proposed 2026 TV/Theatrical Agreements on May 14, 2026. The referendum materials, including dates for information meetings, can be found at sagaftra.org/contracts2026
In order to ensure you have as much information as possible on the new contract prior to voting, SAG-AFTRA will be holding an informational meeting for the Mid-sized and Small Locals.
Reservations are required in advance. Registration closes 3 hours before the start of the meeting. We are not able to process and accommodate registrations beyond this time.
Atlanta Local Conservatory: Create Strong Effective Self Tapes: Tips and Tactics with Kurt Yue!

The Muriel Moore/Danny Nelson SAG-AFTRA Conservatory presents: Create Strong Effective Self Tapes: Tips and Tactics with Kurt Yue.
Join us as we enjoy an evening with Kurt Yue discussing the questions we all have when it comes to providing your best Self Tape.
During this conversation we will be focusing on simplifying the self-tape process so actors can spend less time worrying about setup and more time on their performance. Kurt will break down what actually matters in a self-tape versus what tends to be overcomplicated or unnecessary.
Bring your questions! The goal is to help actors create clean, professional auditions with a simple, repeatable approach that allows their work to come through clearly.
If you are a no-show, per Conservatory rules, you will be exempt from any Conservatory events for two months.
Doors open at 6:30 pm and will close at 7:05 p.m. No one will be admitted after that time out of respect for our presenter and participants.

SAG-AFTRA Day at ATLFF
Join us in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Atlanta Film Festival by attending SAG-AFTRA Day! The Atlanta Film Festival, presented by the Atlanta Film Society, is one of the largest and longest-running preeminent celebrations of cinema in the Southeast United States featuring 150 events over the span of 11 days!
SAG-AFTRA Day will feature two special panels, followed by a cocktail party.

As one of the region's premier celebrations of cinema, it features over 150 independent films, special events, and the Creative Conference, a series of industry panels and workshops. Join us as we kick off the Atlanta Film Festival’s 50th anniversary with a special conservatory event at the Tara Theatre. Celebrate our members that have films in the festival. Kiah Clingman, Israel Vaughn, Katerina Eichenberger and Carrie Anne Hunt, with moderator Michael Mau, will explore the tools they use to craft more dynamic careers in our industry.

Small Budgets, Big Roles: SAG-AFTRA Performers in Indie Film - Sponsored by SAG-AFTRA
From big screen to small screen, big budget to micro budget. Come hear SAG-AFTRA performers share why they choose indie productions, how these roles differ from studio and streaming, and why they support emerging Georgia filmmakers. From assisting in crowdfunding campaigns to the opportunity to develop and collaborate with indie writers and directors, this panel also explores how SAG-AFTRA talent are creating their own content to foster new opportunities for themselves.

Michael Mau (SAG-AFTRA, WGAEast) is an Atlanta-born writer/actor/producer. The creator of the indie fiction podcast A Blind Play, he sits on the local SAG-AFTRA board and co-chairs the Indie Outreach Committee. You can hear Michael making quips while fighting ancient aliens and robot panthers on the sci-fi podcast Derelict.
Israel Vaughan is an actor/singer/writer/producer from Richmond, VA, living in Atlanta, GA. His credits include Being Mary Jane (BET), Ghosted (AppleTV), and The Righteous Gemstones (HBO). Israel is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and excited for the world premiere of his short film Capriccio at the Atlanta Film Festival 2026.
Ainsley Seiger is thrilled to be representing independent filmmaking with Party USA at the Atlanta Film Festival. She is an actor best known for her series regular role as Detective Jet Slootmaekers on the television show Law and Order: Organized Crime. Ainsley is a proud alum of the Drama School at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
Kurt Yue is an Atlanta-based actor whose credits include television series like Will Trent and Cobra Kai, and he continues to work across both studio and independent projects. His indie film work includes acting in the short films The Moth (screening this year at ATLFF) and WokMan(screened at the 48th ATLFF), as well as working crew on Capriccio (screening this year at ATLFF). Kurt also shares industry insights with a global audience through his YouTube channel, Acting Career Center, which has over 250,000 subscribers.
Katerina Eichenberger is an actress, producer, and filmmaker. Film acting credits include the HBO Film The Great Lillian Hall; Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World; Both Eyes Open (Starz); I Will Never Leave You Alone (Shudder), and My Nanny Stole My Life (Lifetime), among others. TV credits include episodes on Fox, CBS, and Netflix shows. As a producer, she produced her short The Unbearing, which she wrote and starred in (Best International Short Film at FanCine de Lemos among other nominations). Katerina has recently wrapped production on short films Call & Response (winner of the PAGE Gold Prize) and Too Done (San Francisco Art Commission Grant Recipient). She is repped by Stewart Talent Agency (NYC & ATL) and Advanced Management (LA). Katerina also serves as the Deputy Director / Director of Admissions and Enrollment at Stowe Story Labs, which is dedicated to helping top emerging screenwriters and filmmakers get work made and seen.
Delaney Keith is an NYC-based actress with roots in theater whose television career began in Atlanta. Her credits include Found on NBC, The Resident on Fox, Queens on ABC, and the award-winning indie feature Sunshine Girls (Best Feature, Defy Film Festival). Delaney is also featured in the pilot Reptilia, screening at the Atlanta Film Festival, and has loved working on numerous independent projects.
