Acting Classes & Studios.

This list is by NO MEANS exhaustive and no offense to any of the incredible coaches and studios in Atlanta who may not be listed here. As with everything on this website, I can only speak to what I KNOW, so these studios are those I have personal experience with — either through training there myself or because of a connection I have with the talent at the studio. Want to see a studio listed here? Send me an email with your recommendation!

  • A monitor showing people in a crowd, with text on the left saying 'AUDITION. LEARN. CONNECT.' and a logo for TWAG, The Working Actor Group, featuring an owl camera icon.

    The Working Actor Group

The Working Actor Group is just as the name implies… a collection of working actors offering services like classes & workshops, audition taping, headshots, and demo reel editing. Founders Lauren Halperin & Wes Jetton (who both have very solid resumes) are joined by Atlanta working actors Mayer Stern, Meghan Perry, Anny Jules, Brandon Stanley, Zuri James, Hannah Aslesen, Rachael Walters, and Erik Bello. Good stuff.

  • Logo for Catapult Acting Studios with a film camera in the background and a small running figure icon.

    Catapult Acting Studios

“Catapult’s two-story 3,200 square-foot studio was designed to be a creative and professional environment with the goal of providing actors a space to feel inspired. Flooded with natural light, the studio features three state-of-the-art sound-insulated studio taping rooms, two lounges, an open-air work space, break area, and more.“

  • A vintage film camera on a tripod against a dark background, with the text '25th Anthony Mendl's Actor Workshop 1997-2022' in white.

    Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop

This is a franchised acting school which started in Los Angeles. “Einstein said it: Everything is constantly evolving. So why are we still teaching acting classes as if nothing has changed in the last 70 years? At Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop acting school in Atlanta, the long-held illusions that continue to keep actors in the dark about their creative process are being shattered. IT’S REVOLUTIONARY. It’s what you always knew Atlanta acting school could be: FUN, EASY, EMPOWERING.”

  • Sign for Drama Inc. with the tagline 'actors, well trained' and a blurred background of an indoor space with people and a picture of two actors acting on a wall.

    Drama Inc.

You may be hard pressed to find a studio in Atlanta with more working actors training other actors. Talents here include Catherine Dyer, Jason MacDonald, Claire Bronson, Alex Collins, Scott Poythress, Dustin Lewis and more. This is a SOLID studio!

  • A group of women attending a presentation or workshop with two women standing and speaking in front of a dark background, overlaid with a large blue circle containing the white text "aws".

    Arvold Warner Studio

This studio is a collaboration between Casting Director Erica Arvold and Acting Coach Richard Warner. The each have over 30 years experience in their areas of expertise. Combined with a solid roster of coaches, this studio is a great choice.

  • A group of people, mostly women, standing in a semi-circle on a stage or studio with a black background, with a sign reading 'RM The Robert Mello Studio' in front.

    The Robert Mello Studio

The Robert Mello Studio opened its doors in Atlanta in June of 2011, having existed prior in Los Angeles and, under Studio 2, in Chicago, Il.  The studio teaches a technique inspired by and based upon the teachings of the legendary Sanford Meisner.

  • A vintage film camera on tripod with spotlight, logo featuring a stylized film reel and camera icon, and text reading 'Acting Studio Words in Motion'.

    Words in Motion Acting Studio

Words in Motion Acting Studio was created by Kelly Young-Silva, an Atlanta actor and wife of five-time Emmy Winner Diego Acevedo. WIM works with beginners and experienced actors, with a focus on youth classes.

  • Logo for Get Scene Studios featuring an eye with a film reel inside, placed over a workspace with a laptop and a camera on a wooden surface.

    Get Scene Acting Studios

Get Scene probably conducts more workshops with Atlanta’s premiere Talent Agents and Casting Directors than most any other studio in Atlanta. Their classes sell out fast, so if you see one you like, book it! Folks rave about them.
